    Incorporation drive reaches fund-raising goal

    A contribution by "Anonymous has put the Action Committee to Incorporate Oakhurst Now over the top in its campaign to raise funds to hire a consultant to prepare a financial feasibility report. Treasurer Charlotte Bambauer says the donation, which brings the fund total to the $10,000 quoted by the representative of Economic & Planning Systems as "the estimated budget to complete the initial feasibility analysis.

    YHS adds strength to safety

    Yosemite High School report

    The Yosemite Joint Union High School District will begin using a three-pronged approach to school safety and violence prevention that will be made possible with a block grant from the state. Assembly Bill 1113 allocates money for schools throughout the state to create programs to promote a safe learning environment.

    "We realize that we must take a multi-strategy approach to this concern, says District Superintendent Bill McCabe. With this in mind, school personnel, with assistance from a committee of district residents, developed the three-pronged program.
