MADERA — Permits have been issued to build 16 new homes in Eastern Madera County.
The permits were issued during September by the county Engineering and General Services Department, and many of the housing projects are already in progress.
The new homes include:
Ahwahnee, 1; Coarsegold area, 6; North Fork, 3; Oakhurst, 2; Raymond, 1; Yosemite Lakes Park, 2.
Estimated value of the 16 new homes amounts to $2,046,367.
Also, 12 permits were issued for new homes in unincorporated areas in the valley portion of the county. (Permits for new homes within the cities of Chowchilla and Madera are issued through each City Hall.)
The valley homes add up to a value of $1,567,392.
In Eastern Madera County, permits were also issued for 49 “other projects” for a value of $712,536; and four mobile homes, $76,775.
Permits for repairs, alterations and additions in the mountains added $90,939 to the value for a total value of $2,926,617.
For the entire county, 150 permits were issued and the value is estimated at $5,479,639.
